I’ve committed to being a “solemate” for Girls on the Run, a mentoring program that helps prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living through the power of running. Mentors work with the girls and by the end of the program, they can run a 5k (3.1 miles).

I decided to do this because my dad was always my “running buddy” and always encouraged me- ever since I was about 8 years old. Not everyone has a parent that can do that, which is why this program is so great. I’ll be running a 10K to support this organization, and you can help! I’ve got one month to raise $262.

I really appreciate any help at all. You are all always amazing in supporting the things I do, and I can’t say thank you enough. Reblog if you like!
